Referrals are only accepted through Essex County Council’s SEND Operations, who complete referral paperwork and send this to CSS.  Referrals are accepted for students who reside in the South Quadrant of Essex.

The Head of Primary and SENCo meet regularly with the Head of CSS to consider Pathways referrals received and to ensure that CSS is an appropriate school for the young person and that their needs can be met at CSS. 

If the young person is considered an appropriate candidate for the programme, they, along with their parent(s)/carer, will be invited to meet at CSS and view the school.  Following a successful meeting and agreement from all parties, a place on the programme will be offered at one of the centres, with all Primary Pathways going to Wickford.
