    SEND support and SEND information

How do we support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities?

At the Children's Support Service, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils, regardless of need, are able to access a high-quality education and achieve their full potential. We provide inclusive, personalised support in line with the SEND Code of Practice.

Our approach follows a graduated response, where needs are carefully identified, planned for, supported, and regularly reviewed. We work closely with pupils, families, and external professionals to ensure that support is effective and tailored to each individual.

What does our SEND provision include?
    • High-quality teaching with appropriate adaptations to meet a wide range of needs
    • Targeted interventions and support for pupils with additional needs across communication, cognition, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), and physical/sensory areas
    • Clear Assess–Plan–Do–Review cycles, ensuring progress is closely monitored and provision adjusted where needed
    • Close partnership with families, with regular communication and involvement in decision-making
    • Multi-agency working, involving external specialists where appropriate to provide holistic support

We aim to promote independence, confidence, and resilience, enabling pupils to make progress academically, socially, and emotionally.
