  • Secondary Pathways

What are CSS secondary pathways placements?

CSS Secondary Pathways placements offer structured, flexible provision for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who need additional support to access education. Referrals are made to CSS via the Local Authority's SEND Operations.

Secondary provision is based across the CSS Fairview and CSS Wickford campuses. We combine academic learning with personalised pastoral support to improve engagement, attendance, and achievement. Vocational education is also offered through placements at Alternative Education providers.

What does our secondary provision include?
    • Small group teaching tailored to individual needs and abilities
    • Targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development
    • Personalised pastoral support to improve engagement, attendance and wellbeing
    • Vocational education opportunities through placements at Alternative Education providers
    • Clear progression routes to help pupils develop independence, resilience, and readiness for their next steps into Post-16 education

Our aim is to help pupils achieve their potential and prepare for successful transitions to further education, training or employment.

How can pupils access secondary pathways?

Referrals to CSS Secondary Pathways are made via the Local Authority's SEND Operations.
