What are CSS primary pathways placements?

CSS Primary Pathways placements provide a personalised, supportive provision for Key Stage 2 pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), who require an alternative approach to learning. Referrals are made to CSS via the Local Authority's SEND Operations.

Primary provision is based at the CSS Wickford campus. We focus on rebuilding confidence, supporting emotional development, and re-engaging pupils with education through a nurturing, structured environment.

What does our primary provision include?

• Small group teaching tailored to individual needs
• A strong pastoral focus supporting emotional wellbeing and development
• Tailored learning plans designed to meet individual needs
• Close partnership with families and professionals to support positive outcomes

Our aim is to help pupils develop the confidence, skills and resilience they need to progress in their education and wider lives.
