CSS does not accept direct requests for admission. All our places are commissioned via the Local Authority.
The Local Authority commissions CSS to provide education for pupils who have been permanently excluded, are medically unable to attend school, or are at risk of permanent exclusion. When not at full capacity, CSS can also offer In School Support (Outreach).

Primary and secondary pathways admissions
Primary and secondary pathways placements are for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who require an alternative approach to learning.

Essex SEND Operations
Primary and secondary admissions (permanent exclusion or at risk of exclusion)
For students who have been permanently excluded or who are at risk of permanent exclusion, admission is through the CSS and Essex Education Access Panel.
The panel includes representatives from all local schools, together with wider professionals, and decides on admission or an appropriate provision for each individual student.

For pupils who are medically unable to attend school, admissions are managed through Essex County Council.
